3D angiographies are used to extract anatomical models and provide a detailed quantitative morphological description of the treated vessel.
Ankyras relies on its unique braided device simulation technology to assess the final length and position of commercially available braided devices. This method uses device design and detailed morphological descriptors of the treated vessel to show the fitting and position of the device.
Accurate measurement of morphological values
Each platform provides different functionalities, from pure visualization to full workflow control. The workflow is ran before the intervention with diagnostic 3D angiographic images and can be brought to the OR with a mobile device.
Ankyras desktop is for expert use and allows doing the full workflow from the medical 3D angiographic images to the treatment simulation:
Import: Simple-to-use module to import DICOM studies into working images for extracting 3D models of the vascular region of interest of the treated patient.
Anatomical modeling: State-of-the-art tools for 3D angiographic image segmentation and model generation from standard diagnostic images.
Morphology: The most advanced and innovative tools for morphology description are integrated in the software, providing a novel and detailed morphological analysis of the vessel region to be treated.
FD Sizing: personalized simulation of the braided device intervention using state-of-the-art simulation algorithms. Our database is fed with commercially available braided devices, providing an accurate (above 93%) position and length of the implanted device.
FD Porosity: After device selection is possible to assess the local porosity of the device for comparison with other brands and sizes, assessing the final coverage and expansion in the desired region in more detail than ever.
Morphology: simplified and user friendly tools for detailed morphology analysis are integrated, providing a novel and detailed morphological analysis of the vessel region to be treated.
FD Sizing: visualization of the personalized simulation results for braided device intervention. Our simulations are feed with commercially available braided devices, and has proven an accuracy of above 93% in position and length of the implanted device.
FD Porosity: upload and share cases among manufacturers, distributors and clinicians.
Each platform provides different approaches (Desktop or Web/Mobile), ranging from pure visualisation to full workflow control. The workflow is ran before the intervention with diagnostic 3D angiographic images and can be brought to the Operating Room using standard mobile devices.
Ankyras Desktop is for expert users and allows doing the full workflow from the medical 3D angiographic images to the treatment simulation.
Ankyras Web/Mobile is a lightweight solution, where the 3D angiographic images are send to Galgo Medical's technicians for analysis using our secure data sharing platform. Simulation results are send back to the physician in a timely manner for your final device selection and intervention planning.
Ankyras must be used by trained medical professionals or technicians who are qualified to perform clinical analyses.
Galgo develops 3D medical image post-processing software solutions to add predictive value to personalized treatment strategies. Each patient is different and requires tailored treatment: personalized medication, surgical implants and interventional strategies. The increasing availability of high-quality patient images enables Galgo's algorithms and software to extract key clinical information to support clinical decision-making and planning and guidance of interventional procedures.
Galgo has focused on four medical disciplines:
• Intra-cranial aneurysms, to plan, for each patient, the endovascular treatment with braided devices.
• Epilepsy, to tailor the implantation of deep electrodes using complex 3D multimodal data.
• Arrhythmias, to identify the arrhythmic substrate and to plan catheter ablation procedures from cardiac MRI.
• Osteoporosis, to improve disease management by turning DXA images into 3D patient-specific models.
Galgo Medical SL has been certified by BSI to ISO 13485:2016 under certificate number MD 656038.
